Value of Public Power
The City of New Holstein owns and operates its own local utility and has long been committed to helping make our community a great place to live and work. As a public power community, we are in the business of meeting customers’ needs and providing a higher level of service.
Local Ownership
New Holstein Utilities is dedicated to meeting our customers’ needs while helping to make the community a better place to live and work. We are one of the country’s 2,200 public power systems — a utility owned by the community it serves. We are also one of the thousands of community utilities that provide water and sanitary sewer (wastewater) services too.
Economic Development
We know that electric costs can be a significant part of your business’s operating budget. Community-owned utilities like us tend to have lower electric rates than nearby investor-owned utilities. Simply put, doing business here — in a public power community — just makes sense.
